Teachersoften provide students with visuals or examples. The addition of annotations or labels for key parts of the visual makes the content of the visuals more comprehensible and assists students in understanding abstract concepts and using specific content-based words. Using an annotated diagram, students are more likely to speak and write with content-specific words accurately.
Diagram labels can be written in students' home languages and in some cases, as with the diagrams below, materials may already be available in different languages. Students can also help create bilingual materials to support their vocabulary development.
This slide show (presented in Google slides) walks through the Annotated Diagrams strategy. You are welcome to share these slides in professional learning settings! Please share attribution to Colorn Colorado.

Hmm, I've found this great post on developerworks. There the author seems to generate entity diagrams from a live database. I wonder if I can go "annotated classes -> live db (eg. H2) -> SchemasSpy generated diagram?
Callout coloring is based on the associated theme that's been applied to the drawing, keeping the callout stylistically alike the shapes on the page. To change the color of a callout, you must apply a different theme to the entire drawing.
Callouts have a yellow control handle at the end of the callout line (as shown in the picture above); the control handle is visible when the callout is selected. Many callout styles have hidden lines by default, but the control handle is still visible when selected.
If no shape is selected when you add a callout to a diagram, the callout is not associated with any shape. When you associate a callout with a shape, the line connecting them will automatically extend when you reposition the callout.
Diagrams, graphs and maps are visual texts that are fundamental to Geography. The construction of visual representations of geographical concepts and relationships supports students' developing understanding because they provide an easy-to-process structure to retrieve, and show, their knowledge (Vekiri, 2002). In addition to being able to construct these visual texts, students should be able to annotate them. Annotations provide additional information that explains, elaborates on, or emphasises the visual elements of a diagram, graph or map.
Note: Strategies on how to explicitly teach the semiotic (meaning-making) systems of visual texts in Science can be found on the Reading and explaining visual scientific images web page. Teachers can adapt these strategies for the Geography classroom.
Below are two examples of annotated visual representations in Geography that were constructed with a class. The first image in each example shows the visual text the teacher initially showed the students. The second image shows the jointly constructed annotations.
An annotated diagram includes all processes and explanations written within the diagram itself, with explanations in point form or numbered. A well-labelled diagram has all labels on the diagram but provides a paragraph of explanations under the diagram in full sentences to further describe the diagram.Read less
Interesting about the idle vs starting ease. I've found when I set the idle around 1450-1500rpm I gets a bit easier start. Adjusting idle isn't so hard when you have the diagnostic plug to compensate & reset the TPS when you open up the butterfly a little for more rpms. Still, air bypass sounds like a great idea.
Tsiklonaut, as I recall you mentioned having a very high-compression head. One would think there is nothing simpler than a 2T head, right? But the devil is in the details. Small changes in squish clearance and/or blend radius (from bowl to squish band) can have a large impact on squish velocity, which in turn can have a large impact on rate of combustion and therefore combustion pressure rise versus crank angle.
Excellent document konrad. Your reference to moving a pin on the ecu, this was a mod for the early bikes that allowed the use of the dual mapping switch that was not available initially. I did that mod on my 2011 model when the dual map switch became available and the dealer loaded both up for me.....although the differences were only slight
As an aside, I've fixed many typos (and some outright errors) in v0.8 of the document. I'll be posting an update, but want to add a bit of content first. I'll also be starting a separate topic on fabricating an ECU diagnostic cable/interface.
I've a question (sorry for my English): I have bought a tr300 from 4 weeks , the bike has no problem on power up, 1/2 kicks do the job cold or hot does not matter. Yesterday's I've removed the front light cover to try fitting an extra fuel tank , and I've found the easy start system box. But there is some strange things:
Thanks dear, next week i will re-open the wiring i've close by black tape o check what the guys previously hold the bike have done. i think it has completly bypass the kill switch and disconnect th easy start.
Any idea on where the original kill switch can be connect if not using the easy start pass trought? there must be a direct link because my kill switch does not route on the front light but go direct some where in the bike (also if a bike has not easy start system, the kill switch is still connected on the light harness or not?).
PS last question, original easy starting system waith for kill switch press, but this is a +12v imput or a Ground input? The original kill switch close the circuit to ground or to +12v? , but whe install a magentic switch there is something that need to be fixe (when the magnetic cap is not on the bike, the easy start system every 30 second deliver the +10v until the aaa battery is complete discarghed ?)
Ok, kill switch from the electircal diagram seem a "to gnd" button that has lot of sense. So the kill sitch output from the Easy Start System (yellow) must go in some way to the White / Black pin 29 on the ecu like the original kill button switch, right?
Swimlanes are a neat way of communicating complex processes. In product management, depending on your vertical, you may be building products which are designed to support the value chain of the business and as such, your products might involve multiple touch points across various parts of the business.
If there is confusion about who does what at a particular stage in an overall process, a swimlane can clarify matters quickly and clearly. Invoicing, shipping and customer service processes are common uses for swimlanes in product management.
With the process diagramed, identify the parts of the process you want to highlight to your audience and use a numbering sequence as a form of annotation. Once your annotated number sequence is added, include notes beneath the diagram so that your audience can clearly understand what happens at each stage.
As is the case with the annotated process diagrams, the user journey diagrams are split into 2 sections: the top half for the process diagram itself and the bottom for annotations explaining further information about the specific step in the user journey.
Break your user journey down into key steps at the top of your diagram, include user goals and plot the emotional state of a user at various points throughout the journey. The emotional state should be plotted using either positive or negative values on your graph. Increasing / decreasing the opacity of the red / green colors bring the emotions to life more vividly allowing you to express extreme happiness or blind rage.
Broadly, decision trees are useful whenever you need to articulate the conditions in which a different outcome is required vs. another. They are also useful for hypothetically choosing certain paths to see how they may pan out vs. other decisions before you make the final, real decision. Decision trees are also useful in the following scenarios:
The first step is to ensure you understand the concept or problem clearly before attempting to convert it into a diagram. Spending time with your team members to understand the process in more detail can help. Make a list of the gaps in your knowledge and seek out the people or sources that can fill in these gaps.
With your scribbles complete, take a look at your diagrams and decide whether they might suit a framework. Is it suitable as a swimlane? Would it look good as a annotated diagram? Think through existing frameworks and use them if they are appropriate. If not, no worries.
A neuron is a specialized cell, primarily involved in transmitting information through electrical and chemical signals. They are found in the brain, spinal cord and the peripheral nerves. A neuron is also known as the nerve cell.
The structure of a neuron varies with their shape and size and it mainly depends upon their functions and their location. Neurons are the structural and functional units of the nervous system. A group of neurons forms a nerve. Neurons are the structural and functional units of the nervous system. In humans, there are two types of neurons:
The diagram or the structure of the Neuron is useful for both Class 11 and 12 board exams as it has been repetitively asked in the board examinations. It is also one among the few topics having the highest weightage of marks.
