Once again it is that time of the year.. time for us to decide our leaders for the next 1 year!
CLUB ELECTIONS!!!

Toastmasters International is an organization which gives utmost importance to honing the leadership skills in their members in a supportive learning environment. Being a part of Club Executive committee is one such opportunity which is provided to the members to exhibit & develop their leadership qualities.
In the fraternity of Toastmasters, the core strength of any club are its members and to keep the club running and performing to the best of its potential is the responsibility of its Seven Executive Committee Members. It is these Ex-com members who ensure that all matters relating to the club are handled in a seamless manner & provide equal opportunities to every member in the club meetings. This is one opportunity where you will learn what true leadership is all about, ensuring your overall growth as an individual and as a leader.
I would like to invite each one of you to nominate yourselves to the Executive committee positions for the upcoming term 2022-2023.
We would like to invite nominations from all our members for the following
positions:
1- President
2- Vice President Education
3- Vice President Membership
4- Vice President Public Relations
5- Secretary
6- Treasurer
7- Sergeant-at-arms
The responsibility of the above roles is provided in the Club leadership
Handbook in TMI website and you may refer to it to obtain more clarity of
the roles.

To oversee the smooth process of nomination, a nomination committee has been formed comprising the following members:
1. TM Nimy Sebastian - Immediate Past President
2. DTM Sowmya Rangarajan - Past President
Members who are interested to run for any office position may send email to:
- nimy...@yahoo.com, or
- Sowmya...@yahoo.com, or
by 4th May, 2022, mentioning your name and the position you are nominating yourself for.
Some general guidelines:-
· Members can also nominate another member with their consent.
· New members who have received their membership No. from TMI HQ are also eligible to nominate / vote.
· Both nominated and nominating members need to be a member in good standing. Member in good standing means those who have paid their membership dues and marked ‘Active’ in the TM Membership Roster.
· Nominated members can call up and speak to the Nominations Committee Chair alone for clarifications on the Election Process.
· The Nominations shall be sent to the Nominations Committee only, not to anyone else.
· For any post if more than one nomination is received, an election process shall decide the winner.
· Apart from the nominations, candidates can stand from the floor at the time of elections as well.
· Any candidate may be nominated for more than one post, however he/she may take over only one officer role, even if he/she wins both the officer roles
Please note that you may also nominate yourself for a maximum of two positions at one time.
The club election will be on 9th May 2022, tentatively. Any changes will be notified in advance to you all.
