The storage and system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 have been revealed, giving users a better idea about the hardware required to run the game. After teasing the game for quite some time, developer NetherRealm Studios finally announced Mortal Kombat 1 a few days ago as a reboot of the franchise.

The announcement trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 introduced the game, with bits of new information slowly being released since then. Mortal Kombat 1 is said to feature microtransactions, as the official FAQ page reveals that it will have a currency known as Dragon Krystals. Furthermore, gamers who decide to buy one of the more expensive editions of the game will get a bunch of Dragon Krystals with their purchase. Now, fans have more information regarding the hardware requirements for Mortal Kombat 1, along with how much storage space they will need to free up.

As reported by DSOGaming, fans can find the minimum and recommended system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 on its Steam page, which confirms that players will need 100 GB of free space to install the game. Starting with the minimum specs, users will need to have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, AMD Radeon RX 470, or Intel Arc A750 to be able to run Mortal Kombat 1. At the minimum, an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 CPU is required to play Mortal Kombat 1, with Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X listed for the recommended specifications.

Gamers interested in purchasing Mortal Kombat 1 should note that it offers a few different editions, with the higher-priced versions allowing for early access. The $109.99 Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 will let users play from September 14 instead of September 19, along with a few other bonuses. Mortal Kombat 1 is also offering a Kollector's Edition for $249.99 which comes with a 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture among other goodies.

The fighting game, scheduled to hit PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series SX and Nintendo Switch on September 19th, can now be pre-ordered on all platforms. As a result, the Steam and Epic Games Store Mortal Kombat 1 product pages were just updated with the game's minimum and recommended system requirements for PC.

These system requirements are relatively tame by current standards. In fact, they are slightly lower in some instances when compared to CAPCOM's Street Fighter 6, which requests a more powerful minimum AMD GPU (the RX 580 instead of the Mortal Kombat 1's RX 470) and more powerful Intel CPUs for both minimum and recommended configurations.

Mortal Kombat 1 was described as a reimagining of the universe created by the Fire God Liu Kang. As such, fans can expect to find renewed versions of characters like Liu Kang himself, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, and Johnny Cage.

Mortal Kombat 1 will also include new game modes, an overhauled fighting system, and rollback netcode for online matches. The critically acclaimed story mode made by NetherRealm comes back, too, as the developers tease surprising twists on long-time rivalries.

A beta will be available to pre-order customers, but only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series SX. As a reminder, NetherRealm is handling those versions of Mortal Kombat 1, while QLOC works on the PC version, and Shiver Entertainment and Saber Interactive take care of the Nintendo Switch port.

Hello guys. I got a problem with MK X. I get the error written in the tittle whenever I try to start the game.. I watched a video about it, the dude fixed it by using the control panel of DirectX, but I just can't find the exact link to it(DirectX SDK).. Can someone help me, is there any other way around it, so I can play even if I dont meet the minimum requirements?

sry but you're being retarded
you cannot ask for help and then not provide the key information anyone needs to be able to help you
this info is, to begin with, the exact system specs you have, OS, if you got updated drivers and your DirectX version
either you want help or you don't, please figure it out

I know that he has much worse card than is required but I can often play games with much worse card than required but my proc is not that bad not very good too :P - probably thanks to old small monitor. That's why I said proc is bigger problem there - and I see that GPU is 900% worse than min. but with some of "magic" is possible to play on very bad card but with proc is bigger problem.
I'm not very good at it but this is what I say by my experience.

Hi, I am having this same problem, I can not even find dxcpl. Is the problem my actual computer or is it that I am using parallels? Here is my specs (pretty shit I assume)... Can anyone help me tho? I really wanna play MKX :(

but i really do not think they are all that new here. it took them 3mins to type that post up after account created.. it would take a new user at least 30mins to figure out how to use this sites formatting (some still have not learned after years).. that was flawless formatting and unedited for 3mins after creation.

The hardware specs for the Windows PC version of Mortal Kombat X have been posted to the game's Steam page, giving PC fighting game fans a sense of what's going to be required to run all that gore at high-fidelity. And though they're understandably more intensive than the last Mortal Kombat's system requirements they're pretty reasonable.

Mortal Kombat 11's big community reveal has come and gone, and we now know a whole lot more about the latest game from NetherRealm Studios. This guide will go through all the details we know about Mortal Kombat 11 so far, such as the release date, gameplay details, pre-order bonus, and the system requirements needed to run the game. There's even some of the fatalities if you're not too put off by that sort of thing.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on PC on 23rd April 2019. It will be available exclusively for PC from the Steam store. There will be a standard edition and a premium edition that includes the Kombat Pack - read that as Season Pass - that includes some extra characters post-release.

If you want to know just who made it in and who's next, I've put together a separate guide for the Mortal Kombat 11 characters. This not only includes the characters confirmed to be playable, but also hints at other characters that could feature in the roster at a later date.

Announced during The Game Awards 2018, all we've seen from Mortal Kombat 11 so far has been what's in the trailer. There wasn't any in-game footage, but the trailer did hint at a few story elements where Raiden now has red lightning, as well as show two scorpions and an hourglass. The full version of the trailer showed off the preorder bonus.

The Community reveal showed off a game that's a bit of a departure from the previous Mortal Kombat games. Instead of having one bar for the enhanced moves, breakers, and X-Rays, there are now two bars with two charges. One is for Amplified special moves that are more extended than the previous enhanced moves from Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat X. Defensive options have a separate bar, but can be used to break combos and more.

X-Rays themselves are completely gone, replaced by "Fatal Blows". These are activated by pressing two buttons when your health is at 30% or lower, has a short cooldown if you whiff the attack, but can only hit once per match. If you use it in round one, you can't use it in round two or three.

Of course it wouldn't be Mortal Kombat without fatalities. They're just as gruesome and ridiculous as ever, so watching the above video is not recommended for the squeamish. Also returning are Brutalities, which in Mortal Kombat X were match-ending moves that instantly kill an opponent during a special move under certain conditions.

In an evolution to the variants from Mortal Kombat X, you can now create your own move loadouts. These have specific costs associated with each move, meaning that there is a cap as to which moves can be allocated to certain characters. These include fatalities and brutalities, as well as costume pieces for each character. It's currently unconfirmed if Ranked modes online will feature variants for balancing reasons, rather than full use of the customisation options
