Wagtail 2.16rc1 released

Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce that the first Release Candidate of Wagtail 2.16 is now available! New features in this release include a new admin sidebar implementation with improved accessibility and keyboard navigation; automatic creation of redirects on moving or renaming pages; and much more... https://docs.wagtail.io/en/latest/releases/2.16.html

As always, we'd like to encourage the community to try this release candidate out locally on their projects, to help us catch any incompatibilities and other issues in advance of the final 2.16 release - which is now scheduled for the second week of February. To install, set wagtail==2.16rc1 in your dependency files.

In addition, this release includes provisional support for Django 4.0, although we're still waiting for a compatible release of the django-taggit library before this can be formalised. If you're keen to see full 4.0 support and would like to try it out, then after installing Wagtail 2.16rc1, run:

pip install Django>=4.0
pip install git+https://github.com/jazzband/django-taggit@master#egg=django_taggit

and everything should work from there.
