Adding an image to a paragraph

Hello, posting here as I have had no replied to my StackOverflow post a couple of days ago: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/75812252/how-to-wrap-text-around-an-image-in-wagtail-using-latest-version

I would like to add an image to a paragraph. However there is no + sign when I highlight a paragraph, I only get it when I add a new blank one. In which case I can add an image and align left or right but it appears on its own. Then it does not allow me to add any text to it.

I cannot add a paragraph, then an image, then another paragraph and use CSS to align as the generated html is <p>text</p><img><p>more text</p> so the </p> breaks the line.

This is with Wagtail 4.2. Any ideas?
