to Wagtail support
Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out the right way to deploy Wagtail in production. I'd like to deploy to one of the serverless platforms, ideally Azure Web Services. I'm wondering if anyone has done this successfully, or if it's simply not viable?

There's lots of documentation out there about how to do the initial deployment, and I've easily got that far. My problems begin when it comes to running manage.py after the initial deployment has finished.

How do you do the hourly run of publish_scheduled_pages, for example, when you're running an serverless app? You can SSH in and run it by hand, of course, but that doesn't seem like a viable production strategy!

I've looked at AWS, Digital Ocean and Google Cloud, and I can't find an answer anywhere. Google has great documentation about deploying Wagtail, but absolutely nothing about how you would then run the manage.py script.

Has anyone found a platform they can do this on? Or am I thinking about the problem wrong somehow?

Thank you!

Matthew
