I am looking into Wagtail for an upcoming project. Has anyone plugged Wagtail together with Oscar for an ecommerce site?

I found these notes, but they are old and related to Wagtail 0.3?

Thanks,
Scott

I wish I could say I have done an ecommerce site with Oscar. I did investigate the idea of and found a branch in the Oscar GitHub repo that tacks the two together. I am very new to Django and I found that because Oscar didn't really fit the philosphy of Django it was much harder for me to figure out how I was going to integrate the two. Instead I chose Satchless/Saleor because it it adheres much closer to the way things are done in Django. The lack of documentation is pretty frightening at first, but as I got more comfortable with Django and slowly came to understand Saleor it's gotten a lot better.

I hope this helps a bit.

Hi Scott

Yes, we used Oscar for the shop part of our Wagtail site for the British Heart Foundation:

The integration was easy, albeit light-weight; products are managed in Oscar, rather than Wagtail.

I can't share any code, I'm afraid, but we're happy to answer questions about details.

Good luck

Tom

Thanks for the replies.

I will look in Satchless as well. I will post if I come up with anything useful.
