Inserting images

Okay, so I get that an image is a card. But I want images to be included inline with the rest of the information. When I made one a card and then included it, I got a tiny image (compared to the original) sitting on a line by itself. This can't be how we're intended to make a pretty multimedia site. Should I be uploading images to cloudstore separately and including them via IMG SRC tags instead?

Hey Lora,

There are a couple of pretty easy to use features that let you control layout of included cards.

For an image you might do something like this:

{{Image Card Name|size:full; float:left;}}

That would show the card in it's originally uploaded size and float it to the left so the following text wraps around it on the right.

Size options: icon, small, medium, large, full.

Cool. Thanks. It would be useful to be able to specify pixel sizes exactly, but this is workable.

No, you can't get just any size, if you want to control the size, you have to use 'full' as Arthur said, or it's synonym 'original'. The other scaled sized are large (500x500), medium (200x200), small (75x75) and icon (16x16)

Because Wagn rescales the original image to all these sizes when the image is uploaded, it's not that easy to just change the sizes and more sizes would be costly. It isn't that hard if you're up for coding a little ruby, but then you have to deploy it too.

I've actually been hearing this feature request from lots of folks, so I added a ticket to support on-demand image sizing.

It will be fun to build but will probably not come until after 2.0.

Note that the ticket describes a workaround (based on browser resizing).
