MKDA read database and Meta set up issues in file

Hi All,

I am running into some problems while reading the database. My file is set up correctly so I am confused what the problem is. I am getting this particular error.

read_database

Error using read_database (line 105)

Error: The expression to the left of the equals sign is not a valid target for an assignment.

 

I also went back to check the line 105 in text file. Everything seems to be set up correctly.

I am new to MKDA analysis so any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Nova,

Did you try to read the sample dataset from the WIKI?  

Sometimes the database file seems like it is set up correctly, but there are illegal characters or even extra blank rows/columns that can make a difference.  Getting the database file cleaned up is one of the most difficult steps, and things should hopefully run more smoothly after that. You might check whether other Matlab functions like importdata.m successfully read in your data matrix.
