Each pet and egg is different. Some pets are worth a lot, some are worth very little. Some eggs are worth a lot, some are worth very little. Some pets lay eggs quickly, some pets require lots of time to lay eggs. The following chart will help you determine whether or not you should try to hatch an egg or sell it.
Each pet you own requires a different amount of maintenance to survive on your farm. Some pets are often hungry and some pets are weak against monsters. Although it may seem silly to purchase high maintenance pets, they usually reward you with oodles of eggs. The following chart shows you which pets require lots of attention.
In Greenwich Square, there is an apothecary who has an egg lab. You can use this egg lab to create new types of eggs. One important thing to note is that dragonfly eggs are magical. Therefore, when you mix and match eggs, make sure that you always include a Green, Blue, Red, or Gold Dragonfly egg. With the right egg combinations, you can create:
As you get farther into the game and your herd of pets swells, it is difficult to make sure that all of your pets are fed, every eggs is collected, and that the monsters don't take over. To help you manage the load, there are several goodies in the game to keep you on track.
If you play the game in medium or insane mode, your pets will lay magical easter eggs once in a while. Unlike regular eggs, magical eggs glitter. Some magic eggs will help you, and some will hurt you. Be very careful when you see a magical egg on the ground. If it's a bad magical egg, don't pick it up! The following magical eggs are available for you:

Just farm little dragonfly's, then get (after 4 dragonfly's) 6 gryphonettes. after you have enough for hobb's, take 5 days at grimm's, selling your 6 gryphonettes for 6 more dragonfly's. after you SAVE all those eggs, go to hobb's. after selling all your pets from grimm's, buy blue dragonfly's. farm eggs for 10 days with (5) blue dragonfly's, mix all the eggs. after you get all the eggs, talk to the alchemist. mix your blue and green eggs of dragonflies first, creating tons of green dragon eggs. hatch ALL of those eggs, then use the dragons as a quick-fix. use the eggs, to make more DRAGONS. after you have 10 green dragons (its a reasonable number to take care of) just keep hatching the eggs till you make more dragons. sell those extra ones for TONS of money. repeat till u can get rosewood, AND purple dragons, =) this should get you through the game quite easily.

Grimm's Hatchery is packed with 20 types of magical pets, four hatcheries, and several villages to explore. In addition to adorable creatures, you can hatch pets, create new breeds of pets, fight monsters, and complete quests for the villagers.
You may feel apprehensive downloading this game solely based on the title. Honestly, how fun could a game with hatchery in the title really be? Well, Grimm's Hatchery, an egg hatching, pet selling, monster fending game is well worth the time it will take you to download and play. Don't let the name fool you, this game packs a lot of fun and will keep you occupied for hour upon hours.
As the story is told, you and your brother don't see eye to eye. He has taken over the royal empire after your grandfather passed away. You are determined to overthrow him and make amends for his wrong doing, but you cannot do so without money. Thus, you follow your passion and open a hatchery, selling both eggs and pets. It is your goal to climb the pet trading ranks and raise the 300,000 pieces of gold you will need to overthrow your evil brother.
The gameplay of this game is pretty simple. Raising pets and selling eggs are the main objectives and executing them is relatively easy. You first purchase animals and raise them. Through caring for them (feeding them and fending off monsters) they produce eggs which you can then collect.
Once the eggs are collected you have two options. You can either sell the eggs for a quick profit which can be used to buy food and various upgrades, or you can attempt to hatch the eggs by placing them in a warm cauldron. Hatching the eggs is a great way to increase your pet population, however, the risk of ruining your eggs is high. On average, a significant amount of eggs will be ruined in your attempt to hatch them. This is an extremely frustrating element of the game because hatching eggs becomes very important and you will fail due to random chance. Hatching eggs gives you more pets, thus more animals to produce eggs.
As you start you initially have a great command of the buttons and layout of the game. Grimm's Hatchery has simple controls and it is easy to master because of this. However, your appreciation for the simple key commands might change after your play for several minutes, especially as your number of pets increases. This game requires a lot of left-clicking with the mouse. The mouse and the left click button control every command of this game. This can be convenient, but after clicking several hundred times in one day of hatching your left-clicking hand will quickly tire. Each day you are required to collect eggs (click on laid eggs), fend off monsters (click on them a bunch), and feed your pets (clicking on them give them food). This makes the controls easy to figure out, however, you are likely to get sick of the repetition.
Overall, Grimm's Hatchery is a pleasantly surprising game that has you collecting and hatching eggs, while simultaneously raising and caring for pets. Your successes not only has you climbing the social ladder but also earns you more money raising magical pets. Mastering the commands of the game is simple and progressing takes time, but is pretty easy. Despite the frustration you may encounter with hatching eggs, Grimm's Hatchery will keep you intrigued. The game has addictive qualities and the goal of raising money to overthrow your worse half is bound to keep you playing.
