I can't install Rainlendar 2 on my Ubuntu 18.04, I found this solution for 16.04 (Unable To Install Rainlendar2 For Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (32 & 64 Bit)), followed it, seems to work, but after install, there's no Rainlendar in my Show Apps, so I'm not sure what went wrong. When I issued sudo dpkg -i rainlendar2-pro_2.12.2.b138-1_amd64.deb, I got this:
I have an SSD as my C: drive, but am storing almost all my data on my old hard drive, (F:) As best I can determine, Rainlendar is installed in Program Files, on C: and storing its data files on C:. This is fine, but I have a backup program which maintains a backup of all my data files on an external drive automatically, and I want to set it to backup my Rainlendar2 data also. I need to know exactly where these are. (In the Rainlendar directory in Program Files? In the C:Users/user/.rainlendar2 directory? Both?)
Parenthetically, in rooting around I came across a text file in /.rainlendar2 which seems to be being regenerated at intervals, and looks like an error log. There are multiple items here: ICCP: Known incorrect sRGB profile, and a few entries: CHRM chunk does not match sRGB. The program seems to be working very well; do I need to be concerned about these error messages?
You are fabulous! Thank you so much. I now have my backup program (GoodSync - a superb program, but a bitch to configure), all set up and running on a timer. (I have just set it to backup the whole .rainlendar2 folder in Users.) Should be good to go from here on.
Another problems that I currently working on are how to add new categories and how to edit the text colour. If I found the way to resolve these problems, I will update this post again. [tags]rainlendar, rainlendar 2, software, tweaks, how-to[/tags]
