Hey Wabit Devs,

So now we've implemented the idea of 'stacked tabs' in the UI to allow us to have many workspaces in tabs in a relatively narrow space. The one problem though is if you have too many workspaces open. See the attached screen if you don't know what I mean.

I would like to get some ideas for how to approach this.

The first thought was to put the whole stacked tab component into a scrollpane. There's a couple of thoughts I had about this:
1) If the currently selected workspace tree is too small that it's in a scrollpane, and then the stacked tab component is in a scrollpane, you'd have a scrollpane embedded in another one. That might look funny.
2) How far do we allow a workspace tree to stretch itself out vertically if we put the whole stacked tabs component into a scrollpane? Will it always stretch out for it's entire height? Or will there be a cutoff point at which it would have a vertical scrollbar?

And if anyone has any other possible solutions to this problem, please let me know!

One other solution suggested was to remove a bunch of the tabs from view, and have a 'More...' button at the bottom that would bring up a pop-up menu or something with a list of the hidden workspaces.

Excellent idea.

Here's an idea that Giulio has come up with. Add a 'hide' button to each tab that will appear when you hover near the tab (like the close button). It can look like a 'minimize' button. It would hide the workspace into a 'stash' of 'hidden workspaces' that could be accessed with a button similar to the 'More Workspaces...' button idea mentioned.
