Wireless Hill now has POTA registration

Hello all,

Robert VK6WHO told me that Wireless Hill Park in Applecross now has Parks On The Air (POTA) registration. Identifier AU-10879 Wireless Hill Park contains the QTH of the WA VHF Group, for the one who do not already know that - and there are more and more newly-minted operators coming on stream these days, who may not know of the club..

Grant VK6AGT scored its first activation on 24th November last year.

While contact from where I am right now (JA-land) might be a bit of a stretch, it would be great if others interested in POTA could get there to do more activations. I think that you've just missed a WA VHF Group Activity Day, today, but the park is open at the least during daylight hours 7/365 so there are plenty of opportunities.

That's on my bucket list for when I get back to VK6 mid year hi hi.

If you do call into WH for an activation, and if it is on a Saturday afternoon coinciding with the WA VHF Group Activity Days, you'd be most welcome to have a face to face QSO with some club members, and a cuppa!
