Hi All,
I've been a bit absent from the emails for a bit, that's because I was out of state/country last week, and have been battling a nasal upset this week.
However there are a few things on the horizon I'd like to let you all know about.
1. This weekend (21/22 March) is the John Moyle Field Day, which aligns with a regular club activity day, so I will be lighting up VK6WH as a "fixed/home" station for at least one three-hour sprint, if not two. If you want to participate (anywhere!) please note you cannot use vkcl4 any longer. WIA has some notes about installing and using N1MM but note that it's a windows-only logging program. Search on WIA for more info. If its within the rules I might also play VK6KV from home on Sat arvo / Sunday.
2. The Monday following (23rd March) is our monthly meeting as per Mark's emails. I would appreciate if we could get a couple more ordinary-member attendees online, we didn't make quorum last month so hastily converted the time-slot to a committee meeting. We can do this a few times a year, but we do need the occasional general meeting with quorum, especially if we need to ratify important decisions/motions. If you're interested in attending electronically but don't want to use your own equipment / QTH, please get in touch with one of committee, I'm sure we can arrange a suitable location where a few attendees could gather and use a shared connection.
3. WARG has announced their mid-year Junk Sale which will occur on the 13th of June, a date specifically chosen by WARG to avoid clashing with one of our regular Activity days. Kickoff will be 10am, location to be advised. This might be our next opportunity to move some more of Terry ZLT's gear and/or some of our own.
