Hello all
I have used the online Yagi calculator with good success in the past. Just wondering if it, DL6WU, has been surpassed?
The project: single band 70cm with good gain and directivity. To be used to "punch holes through" JA mountains to get to otherwise non line of sight repeaters. Pogostick cut for 2m 70cm is working okay but the 2m band is not so popular over here.
Most likely use a metal boom, non insulated elements. Since bandwidth is not a major factor, likely use a folded driven element and delay line type balun a la the DL6WU calculator. Components for gamma matches not so easily available here.
So, anything better than the DL6WU solution?
