Hello AR groups,

On the back of some successful 6cm and 3cm tests and contacts during the last month or so, WA VHF Group is setting up a "microwave" Activity Day on our next regular Saturday, being the 4th of April.

Yes we know it's the Easter weekend, but that is an opportunity for a family day up at the park if you are so inclined (and the weather holds out).

Alasdair ATX will be supervising and using his gear, as we try to make some contacts using gear from Terry VK6ZLT's garage, plus if we're lucky we will have opportunity for remote comms from the scarp. We may also eye-ball the microwave gear we inherited from Wally Howse to see how much would be involved in lighting it up as well, either on the day, or later.

Anyone with a portable 5GHz or 10GHz system is welcome to join the 'net locally, or aim at us from a further out location!

I'll be up there from about 9:30am until about 3:30pm or so. For 900MHz co-ordination feel free to use my mobile number (available on the VHF Group's website).
