Hello everyone,

Firstly apologies for the massive three-way crosspost, BUT given the subject I think it's justified just this once. Secondly, more apologies if you have already received this request via other paths (multipath?). I don't know who else in VK6, or VK for that matter, may have receieved this email, but I do believe that the more responses, the bettter, and it might broaden a two-way partnership between Japanese and Australian amateurs beyond just beaconry.

The WA VHF Group exec received the below request from a Japanese 6m Beacon operator, simply because we have our own 6m beacon running at Wireless Hill (VK6PRH). I'm hereby encouraging beacon-listeners within the VHF Group to complete the survey (link included) and help Kinoshita-san compile the best possible results.

It would be great if WARG and/or WAHAMs members who might not also be in the VHF Group could also complete the survey, and anyone else you can think of who's not in any of the three lists (please forward as you see fit!)

Please see the forwarded message below.

Cheers, Dave VK6KV

***<Request for Participation in the JA6YBR Experimental
Beacon Survey (Open Until End of November 2025)>***

To whom it may concern at VK6RPH and VK6RTU

Your e-mail address is got from your website.

I am JF6DEA/KE1EO Shirow KINOSHITA, the operating manager of JA6YBR
50MHz experimental beacon since 1985.

Anyway, this time, we are reaching out today to kindly ask for
your cooperation in a survey regarding the JA6YBR experimental
beacon located in southern part of JAPAN, MIYAZAKI.

Since its launch in November 1985, JA6YBR experimental beacon has
been in continuous operation—and this coming November marks its
40th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, we would like to
hear your thoughts on the 50MHz beacon and have created a dedicated
survey site for this purpose.

As the administrator of the 50MHz beacon station; VK6RPH and VK6RTU,
I would be grateful to hear your thoughts on the future of 50MHz
beacon operations.

During HAMFAIR 2025 in Tokyo (August 23–24), we hosted a JA6YBR
booth and invited visitors—including some from overseas—to
participate in the survey. Attached is the flyer we distributed
at the event.

We would be grateful if you could also share this survey with others
around you who may be interested in 50MHz activity. Your help in
spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.

The survey will remain open until the end of November, and we plan
to compile and share the results afterward.

We sincerely hope you will take part and lend your voice to this
special occasion. Thank you very much for your continued support.

Thank you for your great contribution. FB DX and 73/88.

Regards,

===
