Dear Friend;

I  am proud and pleased to have this opportunity to tell you about Healing Hearts in Hope Veterans Retreat Center.

Healing Hearts in Hope's mission is to assist military veterans and their families by providing a retreat center on 23 acres of land located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains near Granite Falls, WA.

The retreat center is for the exclusive use of veterans and their families, particularly those who are struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  They believe that spending time in a quiet, safe and pristine wilderness will facilitate healing.

This is the only retreat center is Washington State dedicate to veterans and their familes.

The Retreat Center is the dream and promise that the founder Tersea "Flying Eagle" Baird, gives to her late husband William (Bill) L. Baird.

Bill was a Vietnam War Veteran and suffered severe PTSD, which ultimately resulted in his tragic death in 1987.  Tersea has lead the development of the Retreat Center as a healing legacy to Bill and to all veterans for the enormous sacrifices they have made for our freedom.

The Center now includes a traditional sweat ladge, tent sites, fire pit and  wheelchair accessible picnic tables.

Though much has been accomplied, much remains to be done: The Center is in need of volunteers and donations.

The Sweat  Lodge meets on the 3rd Saturday of every month and Tersea has asked me to invite you out on October 16, 2010 to the next Sweat Lodge, Talking Circle and pot luck social.

Please come enjoy the Center, big your favorite dish and introduce yourself to Tersea, she and the members will be happy to host you and provide you a tour.

"Give your heart to our veterans, for they are the heart of this Country." - Teresa "Flying Eagle" Baird

Please send your donations and prayers of succes to: Healing Hearts in Hope

Hello

I am a recently disabled US Marine.  I own an alfalfa pellet manufacturing company here in Monroe, WA.  I saw you had horses there on your ranch and I want to help you somehow.

Best Regards,

I just noticed this-This is something I always talk about needing for our ptsd vets and even the wives and children who suffer secondary ptsd. I will remember this for future reference and support your cause. I am in San Diego County. We have family in Washington. I started a support group for the wives so I would love to stay connected.
