Dear all,

We thank those who submitted their abstract in due time. There is still room for extra poster or oral presentations.

Therefore, we extended the abstract submission deadline for the Building Coastal Resilience conference in Bruges to February 1.

Kind regards,
prof. Pieter Rauwoens.

The organizing committee is happy to invite you to submit an abstract for the very first conference on nature based solutions for coastal protection in Belgium. The conference will take place at KU Leuven Bruges Campus on 12 and 13 April 2022.

We want to bring together researchers and interested  policy makers and industry partners on the topic of Beach and Dune Dynamics. Highlights will be provided on the Dune-in-front-of-a dike pilot-projects in Ostend (Belgium), showcasing the results of one-year intensive monitoring, including a field visit to the study sites. Contributions from the scientific community are foreseen in the format of posters and oral presentations to foster discussion and knowledge transfer on similar projects and related studies world-wide.

We are also very glad to announce prof. dr. Jean Taylor Ellis, University of South Carolina (USA) as confirmed keynote speaker.
