Informal member discussion at 7:00pm - Business Meeting at 7:30pm followed by the presentation.

For this meeting we will be using an app called Zoom

Abstract:
There is a lot of confusion regarding the relationship between VSWR and antenna efficiency.  This presentation deals with the relationship of VSWR, characteristic impedance, reflected power and line loss to show that even with high VSWR antennas can be made to operate efficiently.

Retired from Univ of Akron in 1997 as Professor Emeritus of Electronic Engineering Technology

Licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1958.  Call : W8MV

Traveled to over 100 countries on all seven continents.  Operated Amateur Radio from 27 of these countries

Search on your browser for  meetup.com

When on meetup.com website scroll to bottom left column and click on  sign up

Type in google or appropriate account or email

They will send a link to your email to finish signing up

You will then get a welcome link

Click on your choice or skip   

Click reason for joining  be sure to click tech then next

Under groups to join pick and choose.  You may not find APC so just click next in upper right hand corner

A list of meetings will appear, scroll down to APC meeting on Sept 22 and click join group follow list to attend.

(Please note: this is quick guide to getting listed on meetup.com.  This is an attempt to somewhat simplify the sign up procedure for getting on meetup and registering for our monthly meeting.  Once you have an account the procedure is much easier to register.)
