Thought I'd post this here, I have a matching Heathkit TX-1 transmitter and RX-1 transmitter, 1959 vintage.  They were given to me by a friend of a silent key.  They appear to be complete, but it is unknown if they are functional.  They are dusty and doubtlessly need a thorough going over before they can be plugged in.  Very likely they need new electrolytic capacitors in the power supplies.  They are quite massive (the transmitter weighs 110 pounds!) but they are free to a good home.  I don't have the time to restore them and I will be moving in the near future.  Interested?  Drop me a line.

hi Dave,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I'm still very much interested.

However, if Brandon Nilsson is also interested in having the equipment, he has been a HAM a lot longer than me, and he does some really interesting amateur radio projects that I enjoy reading about.

If Brandon can use the equipment right away, I'd rather he have the equipment and put it to use right away, than it wait until I'm up to speed to be able to use it.

My xyl & I are happy either way.

thanks !

-baji.

Baji, we have plenty of hf radios. We just thought it would be cool to work on a heathkit. Since you do not have a hf rafio, and you think you can fix it. Go for it. Enjoy and hope to hear you on the air.

Hi Baji, sorry I missed your call.  Out house hunting and cleaning the garage.  I've got the radios in the back of my car, so if there's a day this week we can meet up around noon in Medina, that works.  The Burger King on 18 near 71 is probably most convenient for me, my office is next to the airport.
