 Jeff Kephart here (n3glv)
 I am a ham of 20+ years and used to have an account on what I think was the original 'marconi.uakron.edu' system back
about 15 years ago.
 I am writing your club because I have a new project that I hope to get students and others involved into that hopefully will
evolve into a worldwide communications system, providing endpoints a host of communications options, from telephone or
even video link to sms to store and forward (e-mail). The system I have envisioned is connection agnostic and would be
able to self heal and route etc across as many networks as it can lay it's bits on. (XMPP being a strong front runner as
a possible medium/technology)
To this end, I have been granted a class C network on the ampr.org 44.x.x.x network to use for development.
We will be able to route this network shortly for development but I hope we can get w8upd.ampr.org 44.70.241.1 on as
a node as well.
