Janet Jenkins, KC4YWY, passed away in November. While there was virtually no information at the time, the announcement below was posted just this evening.

Janet Kincaid Jenkins passed away on November 3, 2025, after a brief and unexpected illness.
Janet was born in Newport News, Virginia, in 1960 and graduated from Ferguson High School in 1978. Born to the late Woody and Mary Kincaid, she was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Anne Begbie Kincaid Luna; and her husband, Terry Jenkins.
Janet served as a School Nurse for many years, providing care and comfort within the school community. She possessed a quiet creativity and found comfort in card making, scrapbooking, and knitting. She also held a deep love for music. As a member of Sweet Adelines International, she sang bass, proudly following in her father's footsteps-he was a long time member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Janet joined her local Sweet Adelines chapter in 1997, forming friendships and sharing harmony.
She is survived by her niece, Angela Kincaid (Joshua); her nephew, James Williams (Clara Lynn); her brothers-in-law, Rey Luna and Sydney Jenkins; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; and numerous friends and acquaintances from her singing and crafting circles.
An outdoor, covered memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on February 21, 2026, at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News. All who knew her are invited to attend and honor the life of Janet Kincaid Jenkins.
