ARTS Club June Meeting This Friday 6/14 @ 7:30 pm - Field Day Training

The June 2013 meeting of the Amateur Radio Transmitting Society meeting is this Friday June 14th at 7:30pm in the community room at the McMahan Fire station.  It’s on Taylorsville Road east of Hikes  Point about halfway to Hurstbourne Lane, near the intersection of Lowe Road.  Park around the back of the building.   See the club website at http://www.w4cn.org for a map, directions and more information.

Here is the agenda for this months meeting:

1) A little training on using the field day logger - max 15 mins

2) training on each of the radios we will be using -  max 15 mins each

- FT-450 (CW) 

- K3 (SSB)

- FT-897 (VHF)

3) Some quick training on fox hunting, just enough so everyone can participate and get some tips and maybe some quick things that can be improvised - max 15 mins 

4) Quick Final discussion about field day 

- Review notes from field day planning session last meeting

- and finalize who needs to bring what etc.

And next Saturday 6/23 is Field Day!!

As always anyone is welcome to attend. Please come, and bring a friend, significant other, child, spouse or anyone else!
