The August 2014 meeting of the Amateur Radio Transmitting Society
meeting is next Friday August 8th at 7:30pm in the community room at the
McMahan Fire station.

It is located on Taylorsville Road east of Hikes Point about halfway
to Hurstbourne Lane, near the intersection of Lowe Road.  Park around
the back of the building.   See the club website at
http://www.w4cn.org for a map, directions and more information.

This month will be a demonstration and talk about Oscilloscopes with several examples to show an tell.

Here is what is coming up for the rest of 2014.
* September - Short Programs Month. This is a great program we always do at the end of the year that is for anyone to bring anything they have and get 10-15 minutes to talk about it.  It could be your latest antenna design, a new go-box build, your latest homebrew project or anything else.  As many people who want to show something off can have the floor.
* October - Club Elections.  Elections for the 2015 Officers will be held in October.  Please get your nominations(self or otherwise) for officer positions.  Send your nominations to any member of the officers or current board member to put your name in the hat.
* November - Annual Holiday Dinner (location TBA) - Each november the club attends a dinner in place of the November meeting to kickoff the holiday season, and talk about the past year, connect with old friends, and look forward to the next year.
* December - White Elephant gift exchange (normal meeting location).  Every december the club hosts a fun gift exchange game of ham related gifts, which usually means junk in your shack you want to get rid of.  More info about this as the holidays get closer.

As always anyone is welcome to attend. Please come, and bring a
friend, significant other, child, spouse or anyone else!

Hope to see you there!
