The only thing stopping you from connecting ( in most cases) is the MTS username and password. Though there’s an option to select the MTS service from broadband connections in India, Ubuntu doesn’t provide the username and password.
1. insert the device
2. wait for 5-10 mins
3. right click on network connections and select – ‘enable wireless broadband’ [this option does not appear earlier in most cases]
4. go to system>preference>network connections> now right click again on network connections and select ‘edit connections’
5. go to the tab ‘mobile broadband’
6. click add
7. select device [default] > select country [India]> select mts
8. click ok
9. now click MTS Mblaze connection in ‘mobile broadband tab’ and click edit
10. go to the tab ‘mobile broadband’
11. in the username type – ‘ inte...@internet.mtsindia.in [ without quotes]
12. in the password type – ‘MTS’ [without quotes]
13. click apply and close
14. remove device and logout/restart
15. insert device
16. wait for 5-10 mins
17. click network connections and choose MTS Mlaze connection
18. ‘voila’..its connected
