Good evening, everyone!
It’s the time of year when we recruit Amateur Radio Operators to assist with the annual Radio Merit Badge Day at TCNJ on Saturday January 3rd! This event has been held since 2005 and has introduced nearly a 1000 Scouts, parents and leaders to Amateur Radio!
We will be returning to Armstrong Hall at TCNJ again this year. The event runs from 8AM to 4PM on Saturday January 3rd for instructors.
Please reply to me privately at jon.r...@gmail.com by December 21st if you are available to help that day. If you have helped in the past and have a preference for which job you do at the event please indicate that. I will try to finish compiling that information by December 30th and have a completed roster to send out.
Even if you aren’t able to support the event in person we need operators to respond to scout calls to fulfill the on air requirement’s. We are typically on the area repeaters and HF bands as propagation allows.

This event is well known in the area for introducing Amateur Radio to youth, and your excitement for the hobby and willingness to share it could be the spark that kindles a love of something new in a Scout!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Reaching out to see anyone is available on Saturday to help with the Radio Merit Badge on-air activities. We have 46 scouts registered and I could really use 1 or 2 additional on-air control operators for our VHF and HF Stations. We have all of the hardware for the stations, I just need HAMS who could be available between 9:30 and 14:30 on Saturday.

I just downloaded the current slides for module 1…
I note that none of the recommended fixes were made…
What time do you want me there? Usually come too early and have to wait…
