We’re only a few weeks away from the big contest!  There're still plenty of open slots at W2ZQ!!  We have 5 home stations signed up so far but we can always use more!

The object of the contest is to work as many NJ Counties, States and Canadian Provinces as possible, each being a multiplier.

For those running from at home I strongly urge you to use N1MM as your logging software.  It has everything you need for proper logging of NJ QP exchanges and submittal of a Cabrillo file.  Make sure you indicate DVRA as your club in the Station Information.  If anyone needs help setting up or using N1MM I am available for instruction on Tuesday nights or Sunday afternoons up until the contest.

With respect to Contest Exchanges, home stations will be sending 59/9 (your County abbreviation) and W2ZQ will be sending 59 Mercer or 599 MERC.  You will be receiving a signal report plus a NJ County/State or Province.  I’ve attached a list of the State/County Province abbreviations for proper logging at home stations.  A copy will be at each position at W2ZQ.

In this contest we are “Hunting” so find an open frequency and keep it by calling CQ Contest.  You should also spot yourself by using a Cluster app on your phone or computer and in the Comments section put “NJ QP”.
