December meeting - antennas & pizza

Happy Saturday everyone,

In lieu of an off-and-on CVARC tradition, we are going to do our annual holiday party a little differently this year. We'll be having a second tape measure antenna build session and will order some pizzas. It will be a half constructive, half informal/social meeting. I'll also bring a fox transmitter so antennas can be tested afterwards.

Hi all, 

George and I would like to make a request for this meeting. Would it be ok if he brought his KX-2 and someone helped him look at it to see if there’s an obvious problem with the antenna or the antenna connection? We know the radio itself works fine, as it’s worked when hooked up to other antennas, but for some reason he just can’t get it to work with the antenna that came with it. I am sure that we can get help from Elecraft, but I thought maybe someone could take a look at it to see if it’s an easy fix we’re just missing. 

Also, I will bring cookies to the meeting.

Absolutely! I meant to say that this meeting is open season for any discussion, projects, show and tell, etc. Even better since we’ll have tools in case something needs a repair.
