Randolph July 4th parade

Hi all,

With field day in full view, I wanted to remind folks of another CVARC event coming up in just 2 more weeks. CVARC has been asked to assist with communications for the Randolph Independence Day parade, which will take place on July 4th. We will be using 144 MHz FM for communications - let me know if you need a radio and I'll be sure to bring extra.

Hi Jon (and everyone),

Yes - we are going to meet in front of the Randolph Police Department at 9am this Thursday, July 4th 2024. Address is 6 Salisbury Street; across from the post office. I don’t know what parking will be available, so I suggest arriving 15 minutes early to allow for walking over.

We are going to be assigned our stations the morning of, I will send a map soon. 

The WRVCOC has rented radios for all volunteers, apparently we are not the only ones doing communications but that’s ok. We’ll use the rented radios, but everyone please bring a 2 meter HT they can use as a backup - it’s better for us to be prepared and have a “back channel” just in case.
