Foxhunt this Wednesday 11/5

Hi all,

For this month's meeting, the club is going to host a foxhunt! Listen for the fox on 146.565 MHz starting at 6pm. The fox will be somewhere downtown Northfield between Norwich University and the Darn Tough factory on Rt 12. CVARC officers will be posted on the Depot Square in case anyone needs to borrow a radio, antenna, or needs a hint or guidance on how to do radio direction finding. 

We will host a business meeting afterwards at Good Measure, which is not mandatory. You are welcome to stay and talk business over dinner.

A few things I forgot to mention: 

1) For those that did not get to make a tape measure antenna in October, we have PLENTY of extra materials and have purchased more tape measures. We will plan a second build session with you in mind, likely in late November or December.

2) For those that have a Baofeng or other radio that uses the reverse SMA style RF connector, I will bring adapters with me tomorrow that will allow you to connect a BNC cable to your radio, which is the connector used on the beam antennas.
