Communications Trailer Gets New Tires

Dear SEARC Members:
Today we had a set of four tires installed on the communications
trailer. The club was able to procure 4 gently used trailer tires
mounted on chrome rims for $150. The tires are 6 ply with a "C"
rating and have 6/32 of tread on them. They were balanced at a tire
shop and mounted on to the trailer. The tires that were removed were
in bad shape and were disposed of at a tire shop.
A special thank to the SEARC board who approved the purchase.. New
tires would bave been $480 for all four. So a significant savings to
the club. Also want to thank Tom AB0TV for helping the club get the
tires balanced and mounted.
