Dear West River Friends,

We’ve got some exciting news to share: the West River Community Project has been invited to present at the Radically Rural Summit—a three-day gathering in Keene, New Hampshire, that brings together rural leaders, makers, and dreamers from across the country.

On Wednesday, October 8 at 2PM, we’ll be part of the Sharing Bonanza session, giving a presentation  on how our Country Store is the commons—sustained through our unique nonprofit model.

Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom once said, “The commons is not simply resources shared, but a social system that sustains life and community.”  That’s what we’re building here in West Townshend and now we get to story share!

Radically Rural is known for sparking fresh ideas and building networks of people committed to small communities like ours. We’re honored to represent WRCP and carry a piece of Vermont’s story into this conversation about rural resilience. We’d love for you to join us there—learn more and register here.
