As a follow up, the girls pickup team is forming this year and could use a few more players.

If you have a few girls that would like to play on the team, let me know ASAP.

From the Girls Pickup Team tournament page:

Every year we have held the SJA Invite we have put together at least one New England pickup girls team. This year we are going to do the same thing.  To play on the team all you need to do is be a USAUltimate member and get to St. Johnsbury. That's it. The tournament fee is waived for pick up players and your meals and housing will be provided.  If you're interested in playing on the team you need to email me at jse...@gmail.com with the following information: Name:  Age: School: Phone: UPA #:  Ultimate experience: Would you like to captain the team?:  Once you've emailed me that information you can expect a reply back rather quickly about the status of the team. Right now I can't guarantee the team is going to happen, but it has formed the last six of the last seven years so chances are it will form again this year. I will theoretically be accepting pickup players up until mid-April, but it would be really helpful if you could email me much sooner than that if you're interested in playing on the team. I would absolutely love to be able to form two pickup teams, so spread the word! The team will be coached and will have at least several experienced players playing on it as captains. Depending on the strength of the team and the number of teams attending the tournament, the team might be in either the A or the B division. The team will play at least 6 games.

We just had two teams drop (one open and one girls) from the 2012 St. Johnsbury Invite. I would love to fill their spots.

Would your team like to snag one of the spots? If so, please contact me immediately.

I am waiving the $400 tournament fee and providing free dinner on Saturday night for the teams that fill these spot.

Here's what you need to know about the event:

- It's happening on 5/19-20 in St. Johnsbury and Lyndonville, VT

- 16 teams in the girls division

- 40 teams in the open division

- Each team is guaranteed at least 6 games. Many will play 7.

- The tournament is USAU Sanctioned. All team members must be full USAU members or pay the one time event fee.

- Free housing is provided on Friday and Saturday nights to teams that need it.

- On Saturday night we are hosting a massive dinner/dance/trade night complete with a ridiculously amazing dance setup and 4 bouncy castles.
