You're invited!
21-Day FSNE Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge
Across our region—in communities, farms, businesses, nonprofits and in government — there is significant discussion about race and racial inequity. We have found a tool to strengthen our will and skill to address racism in our food systems.
The good news is that all of us recognize the importance of addressing racial inequity in our institutions and see opportunities for greater impact by working together.
The goals of this conversation focusing on the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge are to:
● Increase understanding of and commitment to racial equity and to make a real difference in the community.
● Share local and national racial equity best practices.
● Further cross-jurisdictional, cross-community, and cross-sector strategies for racial equity.
● Foster post-convening collaboration.
You can sign up to join this year's 21-Day FSNE Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge at
this link. Please share with friends and colleagues who may want to participate as well!
If you'd like to participate in a discussion group with farmers, farm workers and food security focused groups, let me know! I will be sending a poll to find the best time of day/the week to meet virtually to reflect on our learnings through the 21 days and after. Depending on who all signs up, we may be able to convene in person for at least one of our reflection groups.
Farm to Plate is also hosting discussion groups weekly and all are welcome to join. Learn more and join the discussion here.
Thanks for your commitment to this important work!
