Oh I see, you are right: connecting Renderer (EX9) works, but connecting Renderer (Canvas VVVVjs) does not. Acknowledged this as a bug: https://github.com/zauner/vvvv.js/issues/12 , thanks for the find.

if using DX9Texture as in the Lab does not work, it might be because of the upstream Renderer's width and height. As with all WebGL textures, width and height must be powers of 2, so you have to set that Renderer's backbuffer width and height to 64, 128, 256, 512, or 1024, etc.

Yes, even in the heightmap patch if you disconnect DX9TETXURE from Renderer (Canvas VVVVjs) and try to reconnect it you can t.
