3.5 years MBA vs MS

Dear fellows i think that it is a burning issue for all us virtuallians that wether 3.5 years MBA is equalivelent to MS OR NOT

according to HEC road map it is clear that it is equalivelent to MS only if we do research work

but as far my information there is not any single university in  pak which offer such research to the MBA exective students of other universities .

what are u people comments on it . do u know any institude which offer research work for 3.5 year MBA of other universities

3.5 years MBA isn’t equivalent to MS in Management Sciences because basic requirement for doing MS is 16 years of education.

How can you guys equate a 14 years of bachelor degree plus a 3.5 years of Masters (14+3.5=17.5 years of education), with a BS of 16 years plus a 2/2.5 years of Masters degree holder (16 years+2/2.5=18/18.5 years of education)?

HEC made it clear in the year 2008 that there aint any weight of 14 years of bachelor so one shouldn’t get admissions in 2 years bachelor program. It’s been 4 years now everybody knows that.

If you are really interested in PhD then go to LUMS, they offer direct admission into PhD program, for that you must have a16 years of education with a good score in GMAT.

I had 4 years BS in CS, now a days im doing 2.5 years MBA from VU and this is equivalent to MS.

So students who are enrolled in 2.5 years MBA will get MS degree?????After this 2.5 years MBA,they can go for PHD?????????

Can anyone guide me that MBA 1.5 yr is equal to MS or not,I've Done BBA hons frm Vu,now completing MBA-36 credit hours.Would I b eligible to get admission in PHD after it?

As per my best of knowledge and statements of various VU and HEC officials, MBA 3.5 year is neither equal to MS (Business Administration/Management Sciences) nor M.Phill leading to Ph.D.
