Can I turn off the "Status updated" notification?  If my computer were stolen I'd prefer the thief didn't know VUWER was active.

Yes, very easily.  Run the setup program again, but this time choose “no” when it asks if you want to see status update notifications.  Then restart again, and you’ll get no notifications.

However, note that notifications are automatically muted if you put VUWER into lost / stolen mode, regardless of what you select during the setup process.  The only notification a thief might happen to see would be a notification before you activated VUWER.  After that, he will see nothing.

Thanks for the instructions / info, especially that notifications are automatically muted in lost / stolen mode.  Great app, good to know it's installed in case I ever need to catch a thief.
