To all,
I’ve posted a beta for VUWER 1.7.2 here:

In addition to some minor enhancements and bug fixes, this new version should solve the problem of the macaw image capture program freezing when some 3rd party camera programs are used on your Mac.
Please let me know if you have any problems with it.
