Hi,

Thanks for providing such a fantastic tool/service.  It seems particularly appropriate for devs who might appreciate having lower-level controls should they ever find their precious hardware stolen.  One simple question, though -- were are the directives injected that tell Vuwer to take a picture/screencap on logins?  I briefly looked for a cronjob, at command, and SystemStarter script, but came up empty.

I like that feature, but am in need of some customization as I frequently switch between users for different tasks and different family members.  I know I could just go through the installation process again, but I'd like to see the hook to see if/how I can customize it.

I'm not really keen on my active desktop and mugshot getting uploaded every time I switch.  I already set the second field to once a day, but that'l still trigger a pic/cap when I don't want it.  Kind of only want logins after/near boot time, not switched logins. Any ideas?  Thanks again for the tool/service!

Cheers!
Sean

Sean,

The variable you want to search for is ‘initialcomputerstatus’.  The setup program sets it it equal to 1 (take photo at login) or 0 (don’t take photo at login).

VUWER itself is triggered by a launch agent upon login to any user account.  I highly recommend the use of Lingon to edit the file that VUWER installs as a launch agent.

Hope that helps.
