Ihave the exact same problem. At first I thought it was the charger I was using, so I changed it, but now the same thing is happening again on a different Qi charger I bought. It works fine for a week or so and then stops working. This is very frustrating as this is not the only problem I am having with this phone. I remember the good old days when Apple products just worked. I am hoping if enough people complain they will come up with a patch soon.

Try powering down the iPhone X and restarting. This works for me. Seemingly no rhyme or reason, it just stops working. I power down and up...presto iwireless charging works fine. Agree w/ others, this is very annoying for premium product.

Having the same thing happen with my iPhone X. My wife and I both have the same Qi-enabled chargers and her new iPhone X works fine on both of them. No available appointments anytime soon with an Apple Store Genius Bar but was able to get an appointment with an Authorized Service Provider - Best Buy. Hope they can fix or replace the phone.

In my case, all was fine until yesterday. Now when I do wireless charging, my iPhone X charges up to 80% and then stops. When I turn it off and on again, it goes up to 84% and then stops. I bought the wireless charger from the same Apple store I got the iPhone.

Same issue here. After I updated it the other night, it quit charging on the charging mat that previously was charging it fine. I agree with all - for a phone/product at this price point, this should not be an issue! I really don't love the IphoneX for a variety of reasons and had buyers remorse, but stupidly didn't return it within the 2 week return window. ?

I had to replace a 6 month old iphone 8 because it randomly rebooted whenever it wanted. Got a replacement today and that one won't wireless charge. I'll have #3 in two days. Not a good track record for Apple's new stuff. Replaced my 5 year old 4S because they stopped supporting it, never had a problem. Their new stuff isn't as good.

I downloaded IOS 17-1 on my phone first (iPhone 15 PRO) my phone will no longer charge on my 2023 chevy blazer. It lights up green for 10 seconds then changes to amber and quits charging. My wife has an iPhone 15. I tried her phone in the vehicle and it charged fine. I then downloaded IOS 17-1 on her phone. It did the same green light for 10 seconds then amber and quit charging. My phone was able to connect to CarPlay before and after the update.

On another issue I connected my phone to my IMAC and it would not charge without a short download on my mac. My mac acted crazy and i could not type anything until I rebooted it and it appears to work ok now.

Hopefully everyone is reporting the issue to Apple via feedback. The new update clearly was intended to address the issue since it made absolutely no mention of anything other than being for security updates. No one officially knows when it will be addressed but just like the BMW situation it did not happen instantly and those users had to wait for a fix. This will be the same scenario for others experiencing it now. It is imperative that you report via feedback and not rely on chiming in on a post on here.

Hi all, I can see here that the latest iOS 17.2 has fixed many people's car wireless charging issues. However, I am UK based, drive a 2021 Nissan Qashqai and still after latest update cannot charge wireless in the car with my iPhone 15. Phone works absolutely fine on home wireless pad (Belkin). Before, I had an iPhone 13 and this charged wirelessly in car, no issues. Tested other devices (with older versions of iOS software and a different phone brand) in the car and they all charge. I have reported to Apple support, and also logged with Nissan and each saying to contact each other about it, and I am getting nowhere. Thought I would add a comment here as well, to say NOT fixed in ALL cars.

the tests that the dealers run just show that the charger is outputting properly. This TSB implies the charger module may be overly sensitive and turnoff with iPhones and certain android devices. This TSB directs the dealer to reprogram so that the auto shutoff set point is higher.

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

I am having same issue with iPhone 15 and using wireless charging in Chevrolet Bolt EUV (2023). I "think" it worked when I first got the iPhone with iOS 17, but now it is on iOS 17.1 and it shows charging for a few seconds on the CarPlay screen, then stops. Updated today to iOS 17.1.1 but no change. My wife's iPhone 13 Pro charges just fine, though it is still on iOS 16.x. I have submitted bug report as well.

Wireless chargers work across different electronic devices such as phones, smartwatches, or wireless earbuds, assuming they all share the same wireless charging standard. The most widely used standard is the Qi standard, like the iPhone 15, and there may be an upcoming Qi2 standard soon.

Wireless charging works via electromagnetic induction. The copper coils in the charging base create an electromagnetic field that, when sensed by the receiver coil in the phone, starts a flow of electrons. This electrical current in the receiver coil subsequently powers the battery in your smartphone.

The inductive charging process happens wirelessly between the transmitter and receiver coils that are placed close to each other. There will still always need to be a cable connecting the charger to its main power source such as a wall or car outlet.

All iPhones since the release of the iPhone 8 in the fall of 2017 have been compatible with wireless charging. New iPhones are compatible with Qi chargers, an open, universal standard created by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).

iPhones support wireless charging speeds of 15W with MagSafe wireless chargers and 7.5W with Qi chargers. The iPhone 15 has upgraded fast-charging technology that allows for Qi wireless charging speeds up to 15W.

Welcome to the forum @bluetti_eaaquinocomcastnet !!

As Bluetti suggested, make sure your phone is first compatible to be wirelessly charged, and then press the DC button to turn on the DC outputs. I would then recommend taking your phone out of any case you might have on it, and then line it up ontop of the unit. It should start charging.

Cheers!

Hi I was also trying to remove the broken back glass from a iPhone xr and I caught the wireless charging port with the tool I was using. This then fused to the metal housing and I saw smoke coming from the wireless charging pad. The phone will not power on now. Will this just be a replacement wireless coil or could I have caused more damage to the motherboard? Thanks in advance for any help sent my way

I would also try to unplug the battery and discharge the phone. Saying this because if you plug the battery in before everything else it'll try to start up, but get stuck in a loop and not sow anything up on screen. Hope this helps., even tho it's 5 years late, lol

Unfortunately, the only way to know if the logic board was damaged is to try a known-good replacement coil. I suspect the coil is shorted and that is causing issues with the charge circuit, which in turn will impede the device from booting.

If you want a wireless charger with an extra-sturdy stand for your desk or nightstand, the Zens Magnetic Nightstand Charger is your best bet. It costs more than our top pick (twice as much, as of this writing) and takes up more room. But this added bulk, as well as the four rubber feet on the bottom, make it less likely to slide off your tabletop or topple over during a video call.
