Kathryn Hall has contacted me via the website with regard to
interviewing former employees of the Vulcan Foundry and other
interesting establishments with regard to their working lives in the
regions heavy industries.

'I’m contacting you from a small independent production company called
‘The View from the North’ – we are most commonly known for our BBC2
industrial history series’ with the late Fred Dibnah. My reason for
getting in touch with you has a couple of elements, the main one being
to let you know about a new book project that we’re undertaking which
I hope yourself and some of your contributors and viewers may be
interested in.

The owner of the company David Hall is currently writing a new book
called ‘Working Lives’ in which he’ll be focusing on centres of
industry around the country and telling the stories of the people who
worked in some of the heavier industries of Britain in the 1950’s and
60s.'

I have attached a pdf file of Katherine's poster requesting
information which can be found in the files below.

Graeme Could you please forward me contact details as we might have
some information at the "Anson Museum" that might be useful and also get
some publicity Regards Ian Summerfield (Ex Mirrlees)
