What are you doing for Spring Break?

How about volunteering at the Dolphin Research Center in the Florida
Keys or Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue in Maryland? Instead of the
“traditional” Spring Break, what do you think about helping Hurricane
Katrina victims rebuild, feeding the homeless at Café 458 in Atlanta,
or helping to construct a home with Habitat for Humanity in Charlotte,
NC?

Alternative Spring Break gives students the opportunity to use their
spring break to benefit society. Though I know many people have yet
to start thinking about spring break, I am here to tell you it’s not
too early - it’s just the right time! Applications for Alternative
Spring Break 2009 are up right now and available through November 14.
Trips are only $150 (for everything - transportation, food and
housing!), with the exception of our new trip, Extreme ASB, which will
be $200. Participants will receive 100 volunteer hours!
