To all,
Attached is the latest path projection for the AA4VU-1 pico-balloon based on current NOAA atmospheric data. HYSPLIT predicts that AA4VU-1 will pass over the Canary Islands around 7 a.m. (1200 UTC) tomorrow. With plenty of daylight to power the transmitter, AA4VU-1 should check in at that time provided it has survived the trip across the North Atlantic. After that it will head into Spain and then into western Europe, although the transmitter will likely power down due to sunset before it reaches the African coast, and then power up again around 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Sunday (Central time).
Keep your fingers crossed!
Tim, WA4LLF
