Regarding internship report

Dear all,
I have two questions regarding internship report:

1. Is is important to meet the minimum words requirement for the report?
2. Can we write business volume of the organization for 2010. Or is it necessary to write for the recent year i.e 2011?

no there is not any restriction in wording infact, there are mention word limits in the report format.

u must write of recent year , it could be 2010.....

I am asking about the same word limit mentioned in the report format. It says that minimum limit is 8000 words. So, can i send my report with 7500 words?
