hi every one. I m creating this discussion to help those students who get confused when listen to the name of "VU Process Model"!! as we will not find it in an VU Book.

so I m posting here a little info about this model.

this is written by myself according to VU Proejct requirements.

Hope it will help!

any one who want to add more points on this topic are welcome to post here.

Regards.

VU PROCESS MODEL:

Vu process model which is the combination of waterfall model and spiral model. The main idea for selection of this model is that to get the
benefits of both these models. We will be deploying the linear nature of

waterfall model here along with minimizing the risks through spiral
model. In vu process model we will be working in phases to complete our
given project. Some of the phases are described below:

Phase 1.

In this initial phase we will define the scope, vision and requirements for our project. We will define the functional, non functional
requirements in this phase. We will be defining the use cases for our
system and their scenarios here too.

Phase 2.

In this phase we will be evaluating the information gathered in our previous phase. We will be defining time line in which this project
should be completed, the cost which will be allocated for our project
and all the basic planning activities will be done in this phase.

            Phase 3.

In this phase we will be working on the design of our system. We will be

defining all the aspects of design of system. We will work on the architecture of the system, the internal and external entities, their relations among
each other and to the others, etc. After completing the basic design
phase we will build our system here.

Phase 4.

In this phase we will implement our system. We will start working on the system deployment, installation, working etc.

Phase 5.

In this phase we will verify and test our system. We will perform different type of testing here and if got some problem, we will solve
that out.

Phase 6.

In this phase we will work on the maintenance of our system after deploying it and if needed.

In all the above phases, we will be analyzing risks for each phase at its start and will resolve them before entering into next phase.
