hi,

if I understand you correctly, you have compiled ALL subsystems
yourself, that is both kernel driver (vtunerc.ko) and also userland
companion daemons (vtunerd and vtunerc).

Can you trace the vtunerc daemon application? But starting it
something like "strace -f vtunerc"?

Please provide me the version on your kernel (uname -a)
I can try to compile kernel driver (vtunerc.ko) for you
and show you how to do it yourself (when you change kernel)

You have some custom kernel variant, right?
Then you have to compile kernel driver module vtunerc.ko
by yourself.

What exactly was difficult to compile vtunerc.ko by you?
Can you show me some compilation errors?

I would like to help you, but without sources it is rather impossible.
If you want to compile any kernel driver module, you have to have
at least kernel headers AND corresponding kernel config file.
