Good Morning Everyone,

It appears that a resurface is upon us and we have a window before the next thaw that will  be coming next week. I was wondering if anyone in the area  is out and about today or tomorrow, if they could potentially do some scouting. On the satellite from 3/2, there was a big plate of ice starting to resurface north of Plattsburgh and it appears that the webcam at Hero's looks clear of snow at this point so I am wondering about the Inland Sea as well as the area from Isle La Motte to NY. In addition, the areas around Converse Bay and the area from the water treatment plant down to Stevenson Bay. There was nice black ice there that could be resurfaced as well as thicker and relatively smooth grey ice on the eastern shore and the east side that looks like it is appearing from underneath the snow on the image from 3/2. Hopefully a new image will be out today and the skies stay clear. Any scouting, pics, etc,. would be highly appreciated so that hopefully we can plan some good skating for Sun and Mon if the snow showers hold off. The winds look pretty strong tomorrow but I may be out for scouting nonetheless.

Out right now in Shelburne Bay. Here on the northside by red rocks Park. There’s at least 4 inches of nice orange peel ice. I’m sure he’ll put a full report out when he gets in but if you’re nearby with skates it’s worth getting out there

Kind Regards, Yiota (802) 355-0025
