I'm interested in going to Waterbury Reservoir tomorrow if conditions have held or improved. Anyone have any updates? Interest in joining?

Thanks,
Jo

Hello - I am heading up to my camp in Charlotte VT tomorrow for the weekend and am hoping for a good skate somewhere in the greater Burlington area ideally on Saturday 1/21. Not sure if the predicted snow will ruin the opportunity but this group has an amazing talent for figuring conditions and the best options available so I am hopeful.
Also, have all the basic equipment except for a dry suit so looking for "ice-a firma". Could arrange a Sunday skate if need be and hopefully others in the group would join either day. Waterbury Reservoir is certainly not too far if that proves to be a good option.
Thanks in advance,
Scott Simmel

Scott,
This snow in this area looks like a sure thing, starting this afternoon. The skiing is finally going to make it worth heading to the mountains. We will have to wait for a cold snap to freeze new waterways before we skate again. I’m afraid this morning is the last chance until that happens.

Here's a satellite image of Waterbury Reservoir from Tuesday.
Skateable ice is shown in light blue. Sadly, snow is expected to start
between 6 and 7pm, with a total of 4 to 8 inches predicted.
Happy skating,
Jamie

I can report: Waterbury is very nice right now.
