I know that this is the time to take advantage of big ice but was wondering if there are any reports of opportunities on smaller bodies of ice in the central Vermont area or nearby?  Lake Morey was nice the other day but looking for other opportunities while it lasts.
Thank you,
Pat

Hi there,
I skated a bit on Lake Runnemede in Windsor, off Rt 5, today. Variable surface grey ice. Quite a lot of tracks from folks walking on the ice when it was soft, but some smooth grey ice too. Some of the edges are thin and the western side of the lake seemed too thin for my comfort level. Probably not worthy of a drive just to go there but if you are in the area worth stopping. Mill Pond down the road in Windsor might be worth checking too.

Cheers,
Sarah

Thank you, Sarah,
I am looking for something more local- Central Vermont as I sometimes spend more time driving than skating but I appreciate the report and the reply. I hope you find some good ice.
Thank you,
Pat
